What is it?

A pH-balanced niacinamide toner formulated at pH 5.2–5.5 — the optimal range for niacinamide stability and skin bioavailability. Three botanical hydrosols (mint, witch hazel and kānuka) and three PlantæDerMX cellular extracts (hibiscus, kiwifruit and green tea) support the niacinamide hero with a layered botanical refining system. Gentle enough for daily morning and evening use.

What does it do?

Refines, balances and supports. Niacinamide at 4% — a clinically effective dose — helps regulate sebum, refines the appearance of enlarged pores, and supports a more even-looking complexion over time. Kānuka hydrosol contributes NZ-native astringent and antimicrobial support. Witch hazel hydrosol adds tannin-based astringency without alcohol. Hibiscus, kiwifruit and green tea extracts provide gentle enzymatic and antioxidant support. The pH 5.2–5.5 formulation keeps niacinamide in its active form — below pH 5 niacinamide can convert to nicotinic acid, which causes flushing.

This product is multifunctional. Niacinamide at 4% supports uneven skin tone and pigmentation, early signs of aging through collagen and barrier support, and simple daily routines without fragrance or acids — so it suits a wide range of skin concerns and routines.

Niacinamide 4%

Vitamin B3 in its bioavailable form. At 4% it supports sebum regulation, refines the appearance of pores, and contributes to a more even skin tone. The formulation sits at pH 5.2–5.5 to keep niacinamide stable and active — outside this range it loses effectiveness.

Kānuka Hydrosol

Steam-distilled water from Kunzea ericoides, a New Zealand native related to mānuka. Provides natural astringent and antimicrobial properties — traditionally used in rongoā Māori for skin care. Used here at 5% as a functional botanical, not fragrance.

Botanical Refining Trio

Three PlantæDerMX cellular extracts working together — Hibiscus sabdariffa (natural mild AHA-source for surface smoothing), Actinidia chinensis (kiwifruit, mild enzymatic refining), and Camellia sinensis (green tea, antioxidant support). Each at supplier-recommended dose, added cool-down for activity preservation.

Use morning and evening on cleansed skin.

Routine order:
Cleanse → Niacinamide Refining Toner → Hydrating Serum → Moisturiser → SPF (AM)

Hold the bottle 15–20cm from your face and spritz 2–3 times. Allow to absorb, or gently press in with clean hands. Follow with serum and moisturiser.

Pro Tips

  • Layer underneath a hydrating serum for full pore refinement plus barrier hydration.
  • Pairs well with the Glycolic Resurfacing Toner or Salicylic Clarifying Toner on alternate nights — use the acid toners 2–3 nights per week as treatment, use the Refining Toner daily.
