Vascular. The most common type. Haemoglobin pools beneath thin periorbital skin and oxidises to dark pigments — creating the characteristic blue, purple or red discolouration. REGU-AGE® improves microcirculation and protects the capillary matrix through enzyme inhibition. Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone (orange peel extract) strengthens capillary walls and directly inhibits the oxidation of haemoglobin to the compounds that cause discolouration. Pigmentation. Melanin accumulates in the periorbital skin — common after UV exposure, inflammation, or in darker skin tones. Niacinamide inhibits melanosome transfer: the step at which melanin moves from melanocytes to surrounding skin cells. Clinical studies confirm 35–68% inhibition of this transfer.
